I could have danced all night!

Yesterday was prom day. Hooray!! That's me in the pink and my friend Kaitlyn in the black. She drove us to Seattle where we first at Dick's before heading to pier 56 to board the Argosy. It had three decks: the bottom was for dancing, the second was for games, and the top was for drawing oddly enough. It was cold outside so we didn't spend much time outside. I loved seeing the Seattle skyline as we sailed around the Puget Sound! We spent most of the night on the secon and third decks just because the music wasn't that great (there was only like one slow song and the rest of the music was more or less gangsta rap) and the style of dancing wasn't that great either. So we played classic card games like slap jack, california speed, and bologna sandwich. Basically we hung out for three hours. It was fun. Andrew Wilcox was crowned Prom King and Julianne Mack was Prom Queen. I was thinking how in most movies anyway after the naming of king and queen they usually share a dance or atleast get to choose who to dance with and become the center of attention for one slow song. Isn't that how it's suppose to work? Well, after the royalty were crowned, the DJ just continued with his gangsta rap.
After prom, Kaitlyn and I walked a little ways to get back to the parking garage where we had parked. When we got there, we were shocked to find that a fence was now blocking the way in. It appeared as if there was no way to get to our car. There was a flight of stairs next to the garage that a group of kids had gone up and not come back down so I was thinking maybe we should go up the stairs. That's what we ended up doing since they appeared suddenly on the other side of the gate and told us to go up the stairs. So we walked all the way up to level six, hopped into the elevator, and pressed the button for floor one where the car was. When the elevator door oppened it was outside of the garage still. So I hit the 6 again but then I thought we should probably try going to level two so we didn't have to walk so far. But it was too late. We went back up to floor six and then down to floor two. We walked to the car and began driving up to the six level where the only open exit was. Everything seemed to be going fine until we made it to level five and somehow ended up back on level four. We went back up and noticed that the only way out was block by a huge gate. We were thinking that there was no way out and we'd have to spend the night in Kaitlyn's car in a random parking garge that we were trapped in. Then some people showed up on the other side of the gate and told us to drive forward. Lo and behold! the gate went up and we were finally free!!! It was very nice to get back to the freeway and actually know that we were going to make it back home.
You gotta love adventure.
