So Close!

I'm starting to gain even more excitement for leaving on the British Literary Tour. I was having my doubts, but now I feel back on top, and I'm ready to go! I'm beginning to feel that I'm connecting with my group. Maybe there won't be any lasting friendships, but that's okay. I feel comfortable with them, I can be myself, and the next month is going to be amazing. No regrets. I'm excited just to feel the spirit of some of these places we are going to. I really wish we had the opportunity to go to Germany as part of the trip. I'm determined to go there someday as I feel like there's a part of me in that country since that's where half of my family is from. I wish I had more to say, but I really can't think of much. I will take lot's of pictures and report on the experience when I come home. Things just seem so good in this moment as I'm sitting here in the library using their computers since my laptop is miles and miles away. I feel that I have so much to be grateful for. I won't bore you with a list :) I should probably get going. I have a goal to read Othello tonight and possibly get some writing requirements done. I'm willing to bet I will get distracted by the T.V. though. Curses... By the way, for those of you who don't follow mine and Megan's Finer Things blog, we saw this amazing movie last night called "North & South". Why don't you step over to my other blog and check it out :)

And just for the heck of it, here are some pictures to give you some idea of what else we've been doing. I'll let you interpret them for yourselves!! Haha! Okay maybe I'll explain later.

Shirts and Shoes

When my family went out to eat last week this sign was posted. I turned to Megan and asked, what about pants?

Bloopers

So I know I should take some time to catch you all up on what has happened in my life the past couple of days (although it's not really exciting stuff), but as I really shouldn't be on here in the first place because of school work (during everyone else's break even! But it is so worth it.) I decided just to treat you with the bloopers to our Pride and Prejudice video. Maybe that won't be as funny to you as they are to me, but watch it anyway or else :)

I hope all is going well with everyone!!

Until We Meet Again!

To get directly to the point, I've been thinking about goodbyes lately an dthe fact that I will have to say some pretty soon (in like two days even!!). I really hate that feeling I get sometimes like I'm saying goodbye for the last time. Now maybe that's not true with some of the people I'm forced to say goodbye to here in Rexburg, Idaho, but that's always a possibility (especially when it comes to those silly premies). The last two semesters have been amazing! Sure they have their ups and downs just like any other time in life, but I'm so very grateful for the chance I had to meet all these awesome people! And that is why I'm so reluctant to say goodbye. I think it was easier last year for a few reasons the main one being that I didn't go out and connect with people like I have now.

But goodbyes don't have to be so bad I imagine. There's a quote that John Bytheway put in his book Out of the Mouth of Babes and Dudes that says, "I look forward to the time when we meet again whether in this world or the next because we can be together forever someday. The righteous need never say goodbye." I have a firm belief in a life after this one and I believe the words of this quote. So instead of saying goodbye, I will part with a hearty "until we meet again." Ok so I'll still be sad, but I'm going to try and be optimistic :)

Good things come of change and I'll be back in the fall! Don't you forget about me! :)

What if I Were a Hobo?

Yesterday, Megan and I decided to dress up as hobos and get our picture taken. Laura, our own personal photographer :) , gave inspiration and useful tips. Here's a few of our pictures!

Send Me On My Way

I just made a huge discovery!! "Send Me On My Way", a most beloved song by young and old alike, actually has words to it!! Haha. Okay so I knew it had words. It just has more words than I thought. I thought they were making up noises when they are really saying "you know what they say about the young". CRAZY!! Well I love this song. So I'm going to share the link to the music video (I can't post it on here which pretty much equals sadness in my soul) with you and below it I am going to post the lyrics. It doesn't sound like that's what he's saying but apparently it is. Try to sing along and see if you can keep up!! Believe in yourself! P.S. Mom you should make Dad look at this. I know he loves this song too!!

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDdokE1rAMw

I would like to reach out my hand
I may see you, I may tell you to run
You know what they say about the young
Well pick me up with golden hands
Oh may see you, Oh may tell you to run
You know what they say about the young

Well I would like to hold my little, hand
I will run I will. I will cry I will.
I would like to hold my little, hand.
I will run I will. I will cry.

Send me on my way, on my way

Look at me! I'm an Actor!

I am currently in a fiction into film class. As one of our final projects, we adapted a few scenes from Pride and Prejudice and filmed them. We will be showing them in class to day! So excited. But I'm also going to post it here so you can see it for yourself!! You just have to watch it in clips.

Apartment 306 Gets a New Look!!

Yesterday night, Chelsea, Stephanie, and I all got our haircut in honor of our beloved roommate, Lindsey!! We'd heard that she was going to cut her hair shorter before it started to fall out, so we decided to cut our hair too! Stephanie spoke to her yesterday and apparently she didn't exactly get the style she wanted (never trust those proffesionals, Lindsey, NEVER!!). Anyway, we had a little party and here are the results for you to see!!

Chelsea was the first one to chop her hair.

I'd say she's happy with it! Stephanie was the next one to go. They are so brave volunteering their heads first....or maybe impatient. Haha.

I had no idea what I wanted done to my hair so I was finally like "You know what, just start cutting and we'll see what happens!" That could have turned out really bad, but thankfully it didn't. My hair pretty much follows the same theme as Stephanie's and Chelsea's only it's a bit longer.

Look how much hair she chopped off!!! When I washed my hair afterwards I was like "There's nothing to wash!!"

WE LOVE YOU LINDSEY!!!

And here's a couple more pictures for you, Mom, so you can get a better idea of what my hair looks like now.
