Yesterday was one of those days where the time just slipped away! I'm still not sure what happened to it. Sara made her hair curly-ish and thought she could do the same thing with my hair. Haha I'm not letting Sara near my hair again. I'm just glad I was able to fix it so it actually looked normal. But here's what it looked like:
That night we saw Leahy (pronounced lay-he) perform. They are a family from Canada who play a bunch of Celtic and Irish tune type stuff. They were pretty darn amazing. It took me forever to figure out how to say their name. I told Sara that it was pronounced lee-uh-hi and she said something like "Oh yeah, now I'm going to go around saying 'and it came to pass the leahytes defeated the leahoes." So there you go. Now you know what happened to the leahoe civilization. I know I always wondered about that. Anyway, here's a video of Leahy.
Afterwards Sara and I did what any normal person would do on a Wednesday night after seeing a concert: we decorated our closet doors with very random quotes we stole from a forward someone sent to me yesterday. Yep...good times. I took a little video of it but it doesn't look like it's going to work. If I get it to work then I'll put it on for your enjoyment.
Um....that's it.....
Maybe I'll go dig a pool in the courtyard so I can throw a huge party and be the coolest kid on campus.....except for it would probably freeze or I would find Brendan Frasier in a hunk of ice and we don't want that to happen do we, precious?

Woah...
Heath Ledger found dead in NYC apartment
Authorities say actor's death likely suicide or accidental overdose
NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment in what police sources are calling an apparent suicide or accidental overdose. He was 28.
According to the New York Times, Ledger was found naked and unconscious with pills strewn all around him. Police sources told the Times that the death appeared to be a suicide or an accidental overdose.
The Times initially reported that Ledger was found in an apartment owned by actress Mary-Kate Olsen, but a spokesperson for the actress, who is at the Sundance Film Festival, later told the Times the apartment was not Olsen's.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the apartment. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.
“We are investigating the possibility of an overdose,” Browne said. “There were pills within the vicinity of the bed.”
A source told msnbc.com's Courtney Hazlett that Ledger had been turning down roles lately.
The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for “Brokeback Mountain,” where he met actress Michelle Williams, in 2005. Ledger and Williams had lived in Brooklyn with their 2-year-old daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.
Ledger was to appear as the Joker this year in “The Dark Knight,” a sequel to 2005’s “Batman Begins.” He’s had starring roles in “A Knight’s Tale” and “The Patriot,” and played the suicidal son of Billy Bob Thornton in “Monster’s Ball.”
The actor, who was Oscar nominated for “Brokeback Mountain,” died at age 28.
Ledger grew up in Perth, and began doing amateur theater at age 10. At 16, he moved to Sydney to pursue an acting career, quickly landing TV movie roles and guest spots on Australian television.
After several independent films and a starring role in the short-lived Fox TV series “Roar,” Ledger moved to Los Angeles and costarred in “10 Things I Hate About You,” a teen comedy reworking of “The Taming of the Shrew.”
Offers for other teen flicks came his way, but Ledger turned them down, preferring to remain idle than sign on for projects he didn’t like.

“It wasn’t a hard decision for me,” Ledger told the Associated Press in 2001. “It was hard for everyone else around me to understand. Agents were like, ‘You’re crazy,’ my parents were like, ‘Come on, you have to eat.”’
His latest role was in “I’m Not There,” in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan — as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.

I'm an acorn small and round lying on the cold cold ground
Aside from the constant homework that college demands, life is pretty good in the snow covered, below freezing Rexburg. We had a three day weekend which I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't figure out what it was for. I'm sure I'll get tackled for that one. I got really confused because I heard someone mention what the holiday was but I didn't quite catch what they say. I figured out later that they said it was "Civil Rights Day" apparently the new name for Martin Luther King Day. I wonder what they changed it for. Or perhaps I was lied to. I do have tendencies to be gullible.
On Saturday, Sara and I went on a journey to Idaho Falls singing a few camp songs along the way. Our mission was to pick up groceries at Winco and find a place that would sell us old Nintendo 64 stuff (CLASSIC!!!) since Sara brought one with her but with only one control and limited games. The good news is that we found this place called CD World that sells all sorts of old electronic stuff. It was amazing! I felt like my childhood was flashing before my eyes!! Yeah, Sara and I sounded like a couple of nerds when we found what we were looking for. I was tempted to buy half the store but I controlled myself. Sara bought Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Donkey Kong 64. Unfortunately, DK is having issues and doesn't want to work. I got it to start once! Even then we failed to get multiplayer to work. I told Sara that it wasn't going to work as long as she kept pounding it and thinking evil thoughts in it's direction. We just got to give it time.....or return it and get a different copy. I had my moment of joy when I found a copy of Final Fantasy VII for playstation. I can't even tell you how excited I was. Now I just have to wait until April to play it.
After several circles around town, we finally found Winco where we bought our groceries and some of those gummy peach things. Yum!
We then proceeded to make our way to the freeway.....for an hour. Who would of thought that Sara and I could get lost so easily.
Sunday was also a very good adventurous day. First of all, I got Mary and Sara to roll down the hill in the courtyard. They attempted to make snow angels and then they just dropped backwards into the snow. The practically were swallowed up in the stuff! But they survived.
Mimi made some very good cake and what is cake without ice cream?! We're way too cool to buy pre-made ice cream so we got out the plastic baggies and made some. There was one problem: we needed lots of ice. So we (I mean Mary) went outside and filled bags up with snow. After much shaking of the ziploc bags we had delicious ice cream and cake. Yummy!
We also discovered that there are a wide variety of Girl's Camp songs out there. I should definitely write some of the good ones down so I can force the whole world to learn them. Hooray for Girl's Camp! I will miss you especially since now I don't have an excuse to not shower for a whole week! Now I do it and I don't even get a bead!! Okay just kidding. I'm sure I would have been kicked out into the snow by now if I wasn't showering.

He was bleeding profusely and what not
I used to wonder why the phrase "what not" used to annoy my dad so much. True I said it all the time, but surely that could not be the reason. He asked me what "what not" meant. I thought he was just being wierd. "What not" is like saying etcetera or all the rest. It wasn't until today that I fully understood my father's frustration. I was sitting in my history class listening to my fellow students teaching me about Indians, Spaniards, and whether or not Europe was more civilized than the Native Americans. As people joined into the discussion and tried to voice their opinions on how Europe was more civilized and something how Europe was a jerk, Africa was barbaric, and the New World was savage (all debatable mind you. Perhaps I'll address that subject later), I heard atleast two people end their comments with "what not". I found myself wondering "What is that suppposed to mean?" Oh you know, Cortes killed the Aztecs and what not. Oh okay I understand now.
Okay so perhaps I'm being a wee bit harsh, but I was just thinking about how casual the English language has become. If you don't know what else to say why say "what not". Why not just end with Cortes was the cause of bringing an entire civilization to destruction? Doesn't that have more impact?
Anyway, it was after that class where I came up with the title to this blog. The next to you have blood bursting forth from your body, you better pray that someone doesn't call 911 and say that you are bleeding profusely and what not.

Fiddling most often results in Procrastination
When I came home from my classes today I was going to work on some homework before devotional started. You know what I did instead? I edited pictures again! Yay! It's fun and you should try it sometime. So of course now I'm going to force you to look at my edited pictures. Which ones do you like better: original or edited?

Happy New Years and all that jazz!
Okay so I realize I'm a wee bit late at wishing everyone a happy new year, but now is better than never right? The first week of the new year was a pretty fantabulous one. For New Year's Eve I hung out with friends. We ate food, played apples to apples, and some good ol' fashioned guitar hero. I had a lot of fun. It was the first time I got to see some of my friends since some of them were avoiding for the break (haha just kidding). I went home early so that I could spend the midnight festivities with my family. New Years has always been another family holiday for me. We had confetti, crackers (not the food), and jalepano poppers, and of cours Martinelli's. Hmm hmm good. I suppose i should have a New Year's resolution but the funny thing about those is that they usually don't get kept. However I think I going to have to steal one of Laura's: no regrets. When I had this goal over the summer when I went to EFY, it was the best EFY I've ever had in my life! So maybe I can make this the best year of my life so far. Resolution #2 is in the works. I'm sure I've got something else I need to work on this year/week/day. Anyway here be a loverly picture of myself wearing the crown that they so kindly stuff into those crackers.
On Wednesday after the wonderful new years festivities, Whitney, Devon, and I had a Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Marathon!!!! Okay so we cheated and only watched the Fellowship and Return of the King. My mom would only let people stay over for two movies and that's probably a good thing too. By about halfway through Return of the King we got a little restless and started thinking "oh yeah this part still hasn't happened yet. When does this movie get over?!" But it was worth it because A) I love that story and B) I got to hang out with Whitney and Devon and C) we got way too much pizza and crazy bread from Little Caesars. Who wouldn't like all of that bundled up into a ball? I'm sure I can think of someone....
The following Friday, a bunch of us celebrated Whitney's birthday. Again I got to see people I haven't seen for a while. There was also more guitar hero. I totally kicked Whitney's butt. Andrew hung a banana from the ceiling. Aparently it's for good health. Someone came and ate the banana so all that was left was it's mortal husk hanging from the ceiling. How depressing. Anyway, that was all great fun and I'm glad I got to hang out with people before I was kicked out of the house and forced back to Rexburg to get an edumacation. Okay so I chose to go to school and I don't regret it. Oh and just to protect myself, sorry Robert and Kaitlyn for not getting to see you over the break. If we don't do anything over the summer I will most certainly cry until my eyes fall out.
Before I go, here are a couple more random pictures I took while at home. The first is of Josh. He tried on one of those one size fits all shirts. He should definitely wear it in public sometime. The second is my parents and the dog. Mom is teasing Molly or something.... And last but not least, there is a picture of Luna.
