On Monday, instead of attending FHE with my ward I went to Laura's and Stuarts instead. It was quite an experience filled with new food and new TV shows!!! Plus me lounging around on Stuart's couch taking random pictures of myself and moaning (on the inside) from the disease Stuart passed on to me which I am still recovering from. I'm sure I'll survive. But for your enjoyment, here are some of the random pictures I took!
On the way home, Laura borrowed the camera and took some pictures while simultaneously blinding Stuart. The creepiest of all of them is as follows.
I can see the gleam of Laura-Hulk in her eye... Anyway, she also let me borrow her Gryffindor tie so I could be Hermoine (her-my-knee not her-moy-n) for Halloween. When I got home I placed it on my head and became Hermoine ninja!!! Obviously, that's how J.K. Rowling really wanted Hermoine to be like. It's lots more fun. See for yourself!
Ta ta for now and a happy Halloween to you. I hope you get sick on candy. It's part of the experience!! And don't forget to watch the classics: Hocus Pocus, Garfield's Halloween, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, etc.

Saturday, what a day!!
So this past Saturday was an awesomely super duper fantasmo day. I started of the day by doing makeup for the halloween concert here on campus. I successfully helped a guy look like Igor and I made a guy look a skeleton all by myself. I was so proud. Unfortuneatly, I have no pictures to share of that event, but it was good and I'm starting to feel more confident in my makeup skills. As far as latex and tissue goes (I mean leprosy) I think I pretty much got that down. I came home 2 hours later and this is what I found.
I can't really remember why they were having a pillow fight. The creepy thing about it is that the whole time they were fighting to the death Natalie was singing "Rise and shine and sing out your glory, glory". Look what Girl's Camp taught us. Sigh. Anyway, I'm pretty sure Natalie lost. So my advice is concentrate more on the pillow than singing and don't let your opponent escape to the bathroom.
So after all that and washing up the blood and all, we decided to knock Rexburg right off it's tractor! Haha I bet nobody gets that... If you don't, talk to me and I'll sing a song for you. Anyway, as part of this knocking tractor business, we stopped by a very loverly shop: Porters. It's a wonderful craft store that I could have spent hours in, but for the sake of my roommates, I didn't stay there that long. But I did get a bag of random buttons. Very exciting indeed! So Porters looks like one of those places that's been around forever and was possibly used for something else in a past life. There were random stairs everywhere (okay I only counted three random staircases) and one happened to be a spiral type. Natalie totally owned those stairs.
That evening was possibly the most awesome part of all the day! I got to see William Joseph in concert. I'd never heard of him before, but I read a little about him and the tickets were only five bucks. So of course I went. Oh my goodness! He was amazing! He's a pianist FYI who's been playing since he was like five. You know, just your typical musical genius. He kind of reminded me of a mixture of Yanni and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Anywho, you should definitely check him out. As any faithful fan, I stood for who knows how long so I could get a picture with him. Haha. Okay so I look like a psychopath but he looks good so it's all good.

Leprosy; it's a serious thing
Once again I've come to share my great wisdom with you. I've learned some life changing things this week. I experimented with a deadly disease, leprosy, and applied it to Laura's face. She's such a good guinea pig. These are the results.
This is what Laura normally looks like. Isn't she beautiful!
This is what she looks like with the beginnings of leprosy (aka what she'll look like 100 years from now)
It was all fun and games until the disease really started taking effect.
She may never look the same again....

And the Gold Medal Goes To...
Okie dokie! Welcome to Danielle's interective blog of the month. It has been requested that I post all the pictures Laura and I took of ourselves during conference weekend, tell you the type of face we were making, and have you vote on who made the better face in that category. So leave your comments so a winner can be determined! If Laura wins, I will supply her with more candy for her head (that's where her secret stash is). If I win something great will happen I'm sure. So let the voting begin!
Run, dye, and collapse on the bed conveniantly located on the living room floor.
It's time I inform all you faithful readers of my recent activities and share pictures of said activities. Sarah dyed Mimi's hair as well as her ear and the toilet. Mimi still had her cast on at the time hence the plastic bag around it to keep it from getting wet.
Spirit week was a couple of weeks ago. For Wednesday's activities, they had each ward run fifty laps around the track. My roommate Natalie was the only one out of the four of us brave enough to run a lap in the freezing cold! I didn't bring gloves with me so my hands got so cold! It felt like both my hands were covered in that stuff the doctor uses to freeze off warts. Yes it was that bad. But it was fun being all spirited and such. That week there was also this amazing firework show with some of the biggest fireworks I've ever seen in my life! The shot them off with Jurassic Park music in the background.
Currently, for the past week, two of my roommates have moved there beds to the living room. It really adds to the interier design. Make of it what you will.
The other day, I had the pleasure of watching some of the bands on campus perform. One of our FHE brothers, Jake Ballentine, was one of the guys we got to watch. Check out his music at www.jakeballentine.com! He has some pretty good tunes.
I've also been learning a lot of very helpful things recently. Did you know that the word "nerd" was invented by none other than Dr. Seuss? Or that a puma really is the same as a mountain lion which is the same as a cougar? You can learn all sorts of interesting things just by playing one game. Fact or Crap. I think it would be handy to one of those signs with you every once in awhile. If someone says something obviously untrue just hold the crap sign up in their face or just hold it up in a special someone's face all the time just to let them know how much you care.
Lastly, I learned that you should never anger Laura while playing video games. The results could be disasterous.

Inspired by Laura
I've been wasting time just like anyother Saturday and I found some craft ideas as well as some recipies. Yum! Anyway, I thought I'd share some of my finds and maybe I'll actually get to make them someday!!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
So this past weekend was General Conference which meant party at Stuart and Laura's! I think I gained my freshmen 15 just in the few days that I was there. We at things like velveeta cheese dip, wontons, and smokies with cheese. I ate way to much. The second day I was there I woke up to snow. Those were the biggest flakes I've ever seen! It was like cotton balls were falling from the sky. No one else liked the fact that it was all white outside. Laura even gave me a dirty look and she made quite a few weepy sounds.
I did learn some very valuable things this weekend besides the wonderful talks for conference. First of all, apparently I'm a bad parent because I neglect my children. Sorry kids. You're very hard to take care of since you're imaginary. More importantly I learned that there's a creature out there nearly as scary as the terrordactyl and that is the Stuart Ninja. A word from the wise, don't try to stick a pen in Stuart Ninja's eye. You'll regret it.
I also learned that Stuart has incredibly fat cheeks and a tiny nose (see the picture for more detail). But probably the most important of all is that I discovered that Laura can also pull of the staring off into the horizon look and she showed me what insane with happiness looks like. If you ask me, I don't think I want to reach that point. It looks scary.

That's the creepiest thing I ever did see!
Theater makeup was fun today. We did middle age/ old age makeup. My roommate and I decided not to wash off our makeup so we could take pictures and show our other roommates. Of course on our way home we ran into someone we know who very kindly laughed at as before telling us we looked good. As we walked home, everyone looked at us. It was pretty great. Anywho, here be some of the pictures I enjoyed taking of myself so you can see what I'll look like in a few years! Haha my neck isn't the same color as my face! Okay so you can't really see all the makeup in that last one. I was just having fun...

Albi the Racist Dragon
So this is pretty much awesome and teaches a valuable lesson. Don't be racist! However, I'd advise you not to watch anything else by these guys since they aren't entirely appropriate...So just watch this one and enjoy!
